The Arkil Group, through its Irish subsidiary, Arkil Ltd., has taken over all activities of the company Kellys of Fantane International Road Construction Company Ireland (KOF), with effect from 1 November 2024. KOF is an established player in raw material extraction and asphalt production in Ireland , located near Limerick in central Ireland.
With the acquisition, Arkil strengthens its presence in the Irish market, where the group has been active since the 80s, and thereby cements its position as a significant player in asphalt, construction and raw material extraction in Ireland. The acquisition is part of Arkil’s strategy to also expand its operations outside Denmark and ensure growth in key markets in need of robust infrastructure.

KOF is a well-known and well-established player in the market and has a strong local roots, which is an important factor for Arkil, which values local commitment and cooperation highly in all the markets in which the company operates.

The acquisition of KOF follows a few years after Arkil acquired the civil engineering company Killeen Civil Engineering, which specialises in civil engineering and is also active in central and southern Ireland. Arkil’s activities in Ireland also include raw material extraction and asphalt production and paving from Kildare, west of Dublin, as well as in Cork and Kerry in the south and west of the country.
The Arkil Group is a Danish construction group with regular activities in Denmark, Germany and Ireland as well as occasional activities in other countries, such as Sweden and the Faroe Islands. The Group employs more than 2,100 people with a turnover of more than DKK 4 billion. The company is owned by the brothers Jesper Arkil and Jens Skjøt-Arkil.
